About Me

Hello, my name is cristóbal arellano, and I am a philosophy PhD candidate at Michigan State University. 

My current research project focuses on agroecology and food sovereignty. 

My dissertation explores the intersection of philosophy of science, transdisciplinary methodological theory, urban agroecology, and urban freedom farming. 

I am the co-chair and treasurer of the Michigan Aynoka Project (MAP), a Greater Lansing area 501 (c) (3) non-profit focused on, you guessed it, urban agroecology. 

Also, I am an at-large board member of the Fenner Nature Center
